美國總統川普今（8）日表示，美國將退出數十個國際與聯合國機構，包括一項關鍵氣候條約，以及促進性別平等與婦女賦權的聯合國機構，理由是這些組織「與美國國家利益背道而馳」。美聯社報導，這些組織近半數與聯合國有關，多數聚焦於氣候、勞工、移民等議題，而川普政府將這類議題歸類為迎合多元與「覺醒」倡議。
川普為何要退出66個國際組織？
美國國務院在聲明中表示，「川普政府認為這些機構在職責範圍上重疊、管理不善、毫無必要、浪費資源，運作狀況不佳，被那些推動自身議程的人士所把持，與我們的利益相悖，甚至對我國主權、自由及整體繁榮構成威脅。」川普決定退出促進國際間合作以因應全球挑戰的組織，正值其政府展開軍事行動或發出威脅，令盟友與對手同感不安，包括抓捕委內瑞拉獨裁領袖馬杜洛（Nicolás Maduro），以及表達有意接管格陵蘭。
