第94屆奧斯卡金像獎27日成為全球新聞的焦點，原因並不是誰拿了影后影帝或者最佳導演，而是威爾史密斯（Will Smith）為了頒獎人克里斯洛克（Chris Rock）的毒舌橋段上台打人、公然掌摑克里斯。威爾史密斯宣稱，他無法接受克里斯對愛妻潔達（Jada Pinkett Smith）的掉髮疾患說事，不過27日當晚，這位奧斯卡影帝還是在Instagram公開發文、對被打的克里斯洛克正式致歉。

Violence in all of its forms is poisonous and destructive. My behavior at last night’s Academy Awards was unacceptable and inexcusable. Jokes at my expense are a part of the job, but a joke about Jada’s medical condition was too much for me to bear and I reacted emotionally.
任何形式的暴力都是有害的且具毀滅性。我昨晚在奧斯卡金像獎的行為實屬不可接受、也無從辯解。承受戲謔原本就是我工作的一部分，但拿潔達生病來開玩笑超出了我的容忍範圍，而我做出了情緒化的反應。
I would like to publicly apologize to you, Chris. I was out of line and I was wrong. I am embarrassed and my actions were not indicative of the man I want to be. There is no place for violence in a world of love and kindness.
克里斯，我要公開跟你道歉。我過分了、我做錯了。我感到非常慚愧，我的行為並不代表我的做人理念。在愛與良善的世界裡，沒有暴力的容身之處。
I would also like to apologize to the Academy, the producers of the show, all the attendees and everyone watching around the world. I would like to apologize to the Williams Family and my King Richard Family. I deeply regret that my behavior has stained what has been an otherwise gorgeous journey for all of us.
