Melt 是「融化」，melt in one's mouth 的字面意思是「在某人嘴裡融化」，可以用來形容「食物烹煮得非常到位、非常美味、入口即化」的意思。
The roast chicken is fantastic! It's tender and soft, and it just melts in your mouth.（這烤雞非常棒！又嫩又軟，而且入口即化。）
回味無窮
finger-licking
Lick 是「舔」，finger-licking 合在一起的字面意思是「讓人舔手指的」。一份食物吃完後會讓你想舔手指，代表很好吃，因此延伸出「非常美味」的意思。這個詞通常用來形容會用到「手」吃的食物，像是炸雞、漢堡、三明治等。
The salmon rice ball is finger-licking good with that special sauce.（鮭魚飯糰配上特製醬汁真是太美味了。）
leave a great / pleasant aftertaste
Aftertaste 是「餘韻、餘味」的意思，pleasant 是「美好、愉快」的意思。Leave a great / pleasant aftertaste 合在一起，字面意思是「留下很好的餘韻、餘味」，也就是中文常說的「回味無窮、齒頰留香」的意思。例如：
The beef stew is properly cooked and seasoned, leaving a pleasant aftertaste in your mouth.（這道燉牛肉烹調得宜，令人回味無窮。）
難以下嚥
食物有好吃的，當然也有難吃的。要形容食物難吃，除了將剛才的表達法用 unpleasant（不愉快的）代換，寫成 leave a unpleasant aftertaste，還有許多其他的詞彙和表達方式：
barely edible
Edible 的字面意思是「可食用的、適合食用的」，如果前面加上 barely （僅僅地），寫成 barely edible，就可以用來表示「食物難吃、難以下嚥」的意思。
That restaurant is the last place you wanna go; their food is barely edible.（這家餐廳會是你的最壞打算；他們的食物幾乎是難以下嚥。）
tasteless / bland
如果要表示食物淡而無味，除了用 taste （味道、滋味）延伸出的形容詞 tasteless，也可以用 bland 來表達喔。
Come on. I'm not gonna touch that pizza anymore. It's dry and tasteless!（拜託。我不要再吃這個披薩了。又乾又沒味道！）
taste like cardboard
Cardboard 是「硬紙板」的意思。食物吃起來像硬紙板，意思類似中文的「味如嚼蠟」。
I hate getting sick. Everything tastes like cardboard, and it's driving me crazy.（我討厭生病。所有東西吃起來都味如嚼蠟，搞得我快抓狂。）
這些味道美不美味的表達方式，都學起來了嗎？下次再去餐廳用餐時，別忘了找機會用用看這些詞，告訴別人食物到底好不好吃喔！
